The Next Nike Air Force 1 React Features Vibrant Neons and "Black"

Despite a strong desire among fans to see some of the original Nike Air Force 1 styles return, the model's 40th anniversary will focus on showcasing Bruce Kilgore's famous design in wholly new ways. The brand's usage of Nike React cushion on the 1982 design is one such modification that has gotten a lot of notice.

The Air Force 1 React, which was previously only seen in plain white and off-white colorways, has lately resurfaced in a mainly "Black" hue. While some may be amused by the imminent release, citing the popular joke that "Black"-colored AF-1s are usually a sign of mischief, the Swoosh contrasts the dark style with lively "Pink Prime" and "Team Orange" tones.

Given that the React foam beneath is obscured by a smokey enclosure on the lateral side, these two colors steal the show, yet a look at the medial side exposes its bright turquoise color tint without interference. The pair is distinguished from Kilgore's original Air Force 1 Low by additional branding, pull tabs at the heel, and the usage of semi-transparent materials. The tried-and-true tread gets a refresh underfoot, displaying some of the brilliantly colored foam used at the heel.

Take a look at the official photographs of the sneakers below, and stay tuned for a Nike.com launch soon.
