The Nike SB Dunk High "Mineral Slate" Is Coming Soon

If 2021 was the year of the Dunk Low, then 2022 will unquestionably be the year of the Dunk High. We've only been in the new year for four weeks, yet we've already seen a slew of new colorways. We've gone from the CLOT collaboration to the "Year Of The Tiger," and now we're looking at the enigmatic Nike SB Dunk High "Mineral Slate," which has an equally cryptic origin. Make sure to keep reading to learn more...

The "Mineral Slate" is made entirely of suede and has a black foundation with dark green strips that wrap around the heel, lacing mechanism, and toebox. This unusual tint reminds us a lot of 2019's "Dog Walker," which was inspired by 4/20. The lateral and medial side panels feature a "Sail" Swoosh, which is matched by a crisp midsole underfoot that brings everything together.

The story behind this Dunk, as noted in the introduction, is a little unusual. It was supposed to be a mismatched pair with the colors swapped on opposing feet, according to Instagram user @nikesbornothing. This is a recent trend that many manufacturers have followed, and we kind of wish Nike had adhered to their original concept. The Zoom Air technology will be printed on the insoles of this release.

The Nike SB Dunk High "Mineral Slate," which is set to release in March, is a must-have, especially with spring and summer just around the corner.
