New Balance's MADE IN UK and USA brands are quite popular. The uppers of the sneakers are frequently composed of soft leather or pigskin suede. This year, the athletic company will release the New Balance 990v5 'Gray,' which is constructed entirely of vegan ingredients.
The new version replaces leather and suede with vegan leather, mesh, and plastics. Mesh makes up the base of the pair. To replace the pigskin suede, the mesh upper's overlays are constructed of vegan leather. Both the overlay near the collar and the heelcap are made of plastic.

On the heel tab of this edition, there is only a white and green 'V'. New Balance declares the pair to be vegan with this statement. The tongue's branding and logo are also distinct. These are in various hues of grey on this pair.
This pair has the same midsole and outsole as the original. New Balance uses EVA foam and ENCAP technology in the midsole. The outsole has a light grey color that matches the mesh upper.
On January 17, 2022, the New Balance 990v5 'Gray' Vegan is expected to be released.
