This year, New Balance has seen a slew of excellent partnerships, from JJJJound, KITH, and Aimé Leon Dore to Casablanca and Stone Island – but they've all been highly male-oriented, and practically hard to find in smaller sizes. It's encouraging to see NB make an effort toward a more female-oriented, inclusive partnership.
The Naked x New Balance 725 comes in a cream colorway with blue "UV Glow" accents across the top. The retro-inspired design has grown in popularity, and the color palette is both old and timeless.
The 1080 includes the same off-white "Cloud Cream" top but with a more monochromatic approach, with "Sea Salt" details. The shoe features a flexible knitted top and a thicker rubber sole, making it ideal for extended runs and walks. The number one objective with this silhouette is comfort.
The cooperation is known as the "As a gesture to Naked's aim to "sharing the stories of various individuals who demonstrate a daring attitude to innovation," the "Community" pack was created. Similarly, New Balance has always stood for something greater than sneakers, celebrating people who are motivated by their interests."
The collaboration will be available exclusively at Naked on December 9, with prices starting at €135 and going up to €200. The 1080 will also have a global premiere on December 16th, when it will be available for purchase through New Balance outlets
