Converse's Weapon CX is a modern take on the classic Weapon, which was the on-court shoe of choice for many of the NBA's top players in the 1980s. Before Michael Jordan revolutionized the sneaker scene forever, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were two famous players that wore the shoe. Converse is poised to offer a "Loyalty" pack, which includes red/white and blue/white colorways of the newly-released sneaker, after the introduction of a collaborative pair with Rick Owens and a launch colorway.
The classic design has been upgraded with cutting-edge CX technology and is available in vintage color-blocked designs. During the Weapon's peak in the 1980s, the sneaker was available in a variety of team colorways, which are echoed in the "Loyalty" pack's color blocking. The blue pair will be launched first, on December 6, for $135, with a red and white pair following soon after.
