Another SB Dunk, another day, and we're not complaining. The year 2021 has been incredible for the basketball-turned-skate silhouette, and as we near the close of the year, we're getting a first look at the new Nike SB Dunk High "Medium Grey," and we can already tell that it's going to be a big hit this winter.
We can't quite put our finger on why the "Medium Grey" reminds us of the classic SB Dunk Low "NYC Pigeon." Working on top of a quality off-white leather basis, buttery soft suede panels in "Medium Grey" wrap around the toebox, heel, and lacing system.
The lateral and medial side panels feature a white tumbled leather Swoosh, with black laces tying everything together.
While Nike could have kept this colorway rather neutral, they've added some vivid flashes of color throughout. The tongue tag and pull tab, for example, have been dipped in fluorescent pink, while the underside of the shoe is a vibrant blue. If you look closely at the midsole, you'll see that the stitching is actually bright blue. We're not sure why Beaverton chose to do this, but we like it.
The Nike SB Dunk High "Medium Grey" has yet to be officially revealed, however rumor has it that they will be released sometime next month.
