Last year, famous skateboarder Mark Gonzales joined up with adidas Skateboarding to release his version on the legendary Superstar model, which included his signature "Shmoo" artwork that has appeared on a slew of streetwear projects throughout the years. The silhouette is back, and this time it's dressed in a seasonally suitable "black" colorway.
The shoes are made entirely of quality leather for a long-lasting and luxurious look that pays homage to the original Superstar's classic style. The tongues include embossed trefoil logos and perforated three-stripe branding that keeps things understated, allowing the embroidered "Shmoo" logos to do all the talking.
The multi-color patches are strategically placed over the shoes, providing a fun twist to the otherwise understated design. The Superstar shell toes complete the look, and flat black laces keep the shoes securely in place on the foot. Additional padding is included, as well as plenty of cushioning hidden beneath the black midsole, to guarantee they are ready for impact.
If you like the look of the Mark Gonzales x adidas Skateboarding Superstar ADV "Black," the good news is that it will be available on October 9th at adidas and other select stores.
