McQ has been Alexander Mcqueen's contemporary diffusion brand since 2005, and it continues to strive to modernize both apparel and footwear via fresh and creative approaches. This newest McQ Aratana is no exception, with a superb build as well as a gorgeous understated look.
The name Aratana comes from a Japanese term that means "new beginnings" or "newness," which might explain the brand's fresh approach to this model. Myles O'Malley, a creative designer and the founder of Areté, an Amsterdam-based design firm, created the sneaker. With O'Malley's former clients including Nike and Raf Simons, it's no wonder that this sneaker flaunts exceptional elegance.
The shoe's upper is made up of a combination of high-quality leather and exquisite suede overlays. In addition, the top and sides of the body are layered with a complex lacing system inspired by maritime sails and parachute ropes. A thick vintage midsole with button-like embellishments on the side is featured on the bottom portion.
When it comes to the color, there's a clean and crisp "White Opaque" colorway that includes both white and off-white tones. For a simplistically styled summer fit, wear this shoe with a light wash pair of denim and a plain white shirt.
If you want to cop, this sneaker is currently available at GOAT!
