The Jordan 14 x Aleali May ‘Fortune' is inspired by Aleali May's first pieces of jewelry, which were gifted to her by both of her grandparents when she was a small child. During a trip to Shanghai two years ago in 2019, she got her inspiration. She went to an exhibit put up by Tiffany & Co., a jewelry design firm. She was drawn to a late-nineteenth-century item since it was made of jade and reminded her of her youth. Her grandma gave her her first pieces of jade jewelry. It's also where the name 'Fortune' originates. Jade is a stone of good fortune, providing positive energy and protection to the wearer.
Aleali May had little trouble deciding on the Jordan 14 silhouette. “The Jordan 14 is a symbol of luxury. In the advertising film, Aleali May states, "When it comes to girls, our first luxury item will be jewelry."
