The arrival of autumn signals one thing. Halloween has arrived.
The emergence of a new "Skeleton" series Nike Air Force 1 Low is a pretty solid indication that we're heading towards Halloween season, just like the Coca-Cola truck commercials indicate our proximity to Christmas.
The AF1 "Skeleton" line, which first made waves in 2018, was an instant hit, taking a well-known, worldwide loved sneaker and giving it an unconventional update. Since then, the series has become a staple of Nike's annual release calendar, bringing the year to a close with a bang.
The silhouette has been released in "White," "Black," and "Orange" during the last three years, with "Purple" taking the lead for the 2021 edition.
The forthcoming model, like earlier incarnations, includes an x-ray image of the human foot on the lateral side of the leather sidewall and insoles. If that wasn't enough to get you in the holiday spirit, the famous chunky sole unit and lace Dubre both illuminate in the dark, giving you an advantage over your trick-or-treat rivals.
The rich "Court Purple" leather that runs the length of the upper, creating the same heavy contrasts as the "Black Skeleton" pair, sets this apart from past editions.
As the Swoosh enters its fourth edition of the series, we're left to speculate what colorways will be released in the future.
