Salehe Bembury, a known New Balance collaborator, shared some unreleased pictures of his next collaboration with the Boston footwear behemoth on Instagram a few weeks ago. The American footwear designer has now followed up with close-up pictures of the Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574 "Yurt," the duo's fourth collaboration.
Unlike the pair's brilliantly colored Latest Balance 2002R "Peace Be The Journey" and "Water Be The Guide," this new rendition of the label's trail-turned-lifestyle shoes has a muted grey tonal palette.
The retro-inspired model then gets a fuzzy suede treatment instead of the buttery smooth slabs found on the New Balance 99x series, which might be a tribute to Bembury's fondness for rugged terrain. Breathable mesh underlays are also incorporated in the mix to ensure that there is adequate ventilation. The whistle-like component on the heel area and the ABZORB midsole tooling beneath the foot, revealing visible units of the in-house cushioning technology, are the award-winning elements of this covetable Salehe Bembury New Balance 574 collab.
What are your thoughts on the "Yurt" Salehe Bembury x New Balance 574?
