Features/Extras
Sets of black and white SB laces were included in the purple Nike SB box. Aside than that, the sneaker is rather basic and doesn't have any frills.
Materials
The uppers are entirely smooth leather, just like the 1s on which these appear to be based. This material appears to be of decent quality. It has a silky feel to it, and the finish has some natural-looking texture. Nothing about this sneaker screams "luxury," but it still doesn't feel cheap. In terms of material quality, I believe most collectors will be delighted with this pair. I'm seeing some minor issues with glue, rough cuts on the paneling, and overall uniformity in paneling between the left and right shoe, but that's to be expected from Nike QC, so I'm not too concerned.
Fitting
As expected, the Nike SB Dunk Low Court Purple was snug. I wish I had gone a half size larger, which would have provided more comfort and reduced break-in time. I usually do all current Nike SB Dunk lows like way, therefore I needed a 10.5 here, despite the fact that I normally wear a size 10 in most Nikes. I chose a ten to save a few dollars on resale. However, because the leather on the upper is pretty soft, these don't feel nearly as snug on the feet right away, and I expect them to break in soon.
I had to purchase them as soon as I noticed they were coming out! A J-Pack (or SB Dunk paneled/colored like a Jordan 1) is usually a collection winner, and this pair is no exception.
