Nigel Cabourn Gives Vans Vault A Vintage Military Makeover

If the Nigel Cabourn x Vault by Vans collection could talk, it would say that sometimes a touch of vintage is all you need.

Nigel Cabourn, the renowned British designer, has a unique understanding of military and antique clothes. Cabourn has been a mainstay and seller of vintage-inspired military gear for over 50 years, having established his namesake line in the 1970s. He currently has 51 global shops after opening his first UK flagship store in 2014.

The OG Slip-On LX stands on opposite sides of the spectrum, with one hue satisfying the desire for a statement piece you could discover in your grandparent's cellar, while the other is a uniform classic.

Finally, on the footwear front, there's a single OG Style 24 LX in complete denim, a hallmark Cabourn textile.

A fleece pullover and hat with Nigel's own drawings are among the collaboration clothing options. The star of the show, though, is a carpet-inspired version of Nigel's Chore Coat, the British designer's favorite garment.

"I am very pleased to introduce my first collaboration with Vault by Vans," Cabourn said. “combining surf style with classic Cabourn military, a strong color story, and graphical influences, I really think we have come together to achieve a great, relaxed, après surf-inspired collection.”
